Give/take relationships with heed.

I'm not saying you need to GO simply because it says STOP.
Instead, I'm suggesting that maybe if you hadn't planned on stopping, then don't.

We battle our way, every day, through multitudes of stimuli which command our attention only to implore of us to follow what we think they're telling us.
We identify ourselves, find solidarity in some. In others we recall the ancestral bloodlines of the ones which came before.

I'm not implying that you should start running for no other reason than because it says "WALK".
I simply advise that whatever you happened to be doing before that prompt entered your conscious mind, keep doing that. If you were standing and waiting, then don't move.

We affix a hierarchy to the notifications that we feel deserve the most or least of our attention and critical thinking. We blindly follow the ones that reward our allegiance.
The ones that ensure our self-preservation. Those that appeal to the better YOU that lies just this side of tomorrow.
It is the ones we fail to notice that are able to tell us most about the persons we've become. A story of our dark side for everyone but ourselves to see.
They remain subjective, swaying like a forest of kelp in our seabed of thoughts, desires and emotions.
The hollow promises of deliverance. Transformation. The deceptive arrows pointing you toward where you've always wanted to be. Blink. Rub your eyes. Look again. It might just be the last place you should ever want to go.
The vacation of your dreams if you'll just sit and listen about the time share opportunities.
I'm not saying you should turn from the edge. That you should walk away from the bright, flashing display that says, "JUMP!"
I merely suggest that you should only jump if that is what you went there to do.
